Blaine’s Dallas Goes Uptown

Blaine's Dallas Goes Uptown

Are you an Uptown Girl? Even if you aren’t one at heart, you will definitely look and feel like one after a treatment or two at Blaine’s Dallas. Blaine Schlaudt, local hair stylist and owner of Blaine’s Color on Westchester Drive for many years, decided to expand and bring his style empire to Mckinney Avenue. This gorgeous 3,000 square feet space features many salon services including blow outs, color, makeup applications/consultations, botanical air brush tans, Botox, facials, waxing, and more. Blaine graciously invited GenPink to attend the Media Preview Day in order to explore his beauty palace with other Dallas socialites.

I received this royal treatment during the grand opening. I was blown away, literally, by their customer service, luxury chic decor (bursts of orange with soothing blue and grey hues) and pure skill. After picking a Tart Bakery treat and beverage (bubbly champagne of course), I was happily escorted to each station for my personalized style treatments.

Never in my life have I seen volume in my hair like this. Bill Johnson, hair stylist, made me feel and look like a superstar for a few days with his amazing technique and use of Blaine’s products! I mean, how often do you smell fresh cucumbers when you just open a shampoo bottle? Blaine’s line of color protection products are just like having your own personal “genie in a bottle”…your hair wish is his command! From the dry shampoo to the “magic dust” powder, your hair is protected, beautiful, shiny, and Uptown.

Lauren Gagliardino treated me to an organic spray tan in their designated room featuring stone walls and pure privacy. Their botanical air brush technique is safe, easy, quick, and actually quite fun! In just an hour, you could already see my bronze glow…and now after a week, I look like I vacationed in St. Barths! Don’t worry if it stains your clothes a bit; it simply washes out with soap and water.

My last stop was the underneath the “Hollywood” lights at the makeup bar with licensed esthetician/makeup artist, Caressa Gian. Not only did she consult with me beforehand, but she achieved the exact color scheme and style I wanted using Motives Cosmetics. We went with a natural smokey eye in order to make my blue eyes pop!

I had the pleasure of getting to know Blaine, his wife Sharon, and all of the friendly, well – trained staff. Make yourself at home here, and be sure to browse their selection of gorgeous jewelry and hair products (The “Wet” Brush is a major life-saver). Check out their Facebook, Twitter, and Website for updates and a peek inside this high-profile beauty palace.
