Pink for October

I am going Pink for October!

Web sites will Go Pink during the month of October to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research.

Since GenPink was already well, ya know Pink I decided that I should make my pink change a little more obvious so I have a whole new theme for October.

Pink for October

This theme is based off of iLoveMusic by Sadish. The header image is an altered iStock illustration, the original can be found here. The headline font is Angelina from my favorite free font website.

WordPress Wednesday

WordPress Wednesday

Let’s just start by saying GenPink runs on WordPress and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I *heart* WP!

Heather also known as Oh My Stinkin Heck (OMSH) has created a new series called WordPress Wednesday. Today she is on week 3. If you use WP or plan on using it I highly recommend jumping in and following along.

So far in week 1, 2, & 3 she has discussed – organizing WordPress files, understanding the WP Dashboard, setting your blog title and tagline, setting your Permalinks (if you have WordPress and your posts end with "?p=123" you must go read #2 right now!do you see the bold I am serious), and installing a WordPress theme.

*whew I’m tired just listing off what she has done so far, I am impressed with the amount of detail and step by steps she provides.

Welcome to GenPink!

Greetings! Welcome to the slightly pink corner of the web known as GenPink. GenPink is the blog of Elysa - a Gen Y, Graphic & Web Designer, Blonde Texan.

A little more frequent & a lot more random postings can be found on my tumblr & twitter.
