You still have time to catch CATS at Dallas Summer Musicals, running through November 17 at the Music Hall at Fair Park! If you’ve never seen this Andrew Lloyd Webber classic theatrical hit, now is a great chance to do it. The new tour of the musical, based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, is an enchanting romp through the world of the Jellicle Cats on the night of the Jellicle Ball.

While plot isn’t CATS’ strong suit, it’s not meant to be – CATS is a treat for the eyes and ears. The new sound design, direction and choreography, along with the fantastic original costumes and new lighting design, make this musical an especially fun one to experience.

The ensemble cast gets up close and personal with the audience throughout the show (really neat if you’re an aisle seat). The cast as a whole is really enjoyable to watch and listen to. Lloyd Webber’s music is, of course, always beautiful and evocative; “Memory” is hauntingly and beautifully executed by Keri René Fuller as Grizabella the Glamour Cat.

Catch CATS before it’s gone. Single tickets start at $25 and are available at Dallas Summer Musicals.
