Comin’ Round the Bend

I wanted to let you gals know of two things I am participating in.

Bloggers Unite - Blog Action Day Blog Action Day is on Monday.

"On October 15th - Blog Action Day, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind. In its inaugural year, Blog Action Day will be co-ordinating bloggers to tackle the issue of the environment."

If you want to join in you still have time. I already have a section on this blog dedicated to going green so this topic is familiar for me.

NaBloPoMoThe second thing coming up is NaBloPoMo. When I first saw this on alydabear’s blog I was like hello girl spell check haha. Come to find out it stands for "National Blog Posting Month." I think it should be only National Blogging Month it’s much easier (in my head at least). I blog almost every day so I figured "what the heck let’s go." To make it more interesting I decided to come up with one theme that would last the whole month. So I will be doing the ABCs of life in your twenties. The first day will be all A things - adjustment, etc - you get the idea. So that leaves me with a few days at the end to figure out (open to ideas). For all you lolcat lovers isn’t the badge so funny.
sidenote: If you don’t like lolcats I think we will have to break up because clearly it’s not working out.

I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying lolcats! I wish my life consisted of lolcat exchanges instead of normal conversation. How hilarious would that be?

  2. Natasha Says:

I have to admit that I had to Google lolcats… but I’m a new fan, and have a much greater appreciation of that NaBloPoMo badge. And I agree, NaBloPoMo is an annoying word. Blog is only four letters - why shorten it to three?

  3. alyndabear Says:

    I looooove lolcats.

NaBloPoMo .. I guarantee any new bloggers doing it will be able to type it out with correct capitals after the month. ;)

I’m in Blog Action Day too, though I’m still debating what to discuss.

    xo

In the event that anyone else is in the same boat as Natasha you can check out my previous post about the lolcats

  5. tiff Says:

    NaBloPoMo writers unite!

I’m adding you to my blog log…I love your theme….I should probably think of something similar or it might go horrible arye.

  6. Lisa Says:

Are you kidding? Everyone loves lolcats!! :D

  7. Michelle Says:

i was thinking of doing a theme too. i’m having blogger’s block just thinking about it. glad to know that other blogger’s will be around on the weekend! hopefully comments will get us all thru this! :)

oh and anyone reading this who doesn’t like lolcats — we’ll have to break up too. sorry, it was fun while it lasted.

  8. elysa Says:

tiff- There are a lot of people joining in NaBloPoMo that aren’t using a theme, I just like to have structure, it makes my life easier. Glad you are joining in.

  9. Evolving Says:

haha…lolcats are wonderful aren’t they? I tried to explain Icanhascheezburger to someone the other day and it was a fruitless effort. You have to see it, I guess.

Hooray for NaBloPoMo! Hooray for uber cool chicks in Texas!

    Heart,
    Evolving
