I miss my mac’n'cheese

Friday’s are supposed to be fun around here. I am being completely random today. I am sick in bed and I am craving Macaroni and Cheese. Did I mention I’m in love with Mac’N'Cheese? Oh you are too? LET’S BE FRIENDS!

Do you guys like your macaroni all fancy with other stuff in it or straight out of the box, or are there adventurous make it from scratch kinda people still out there? I’m a Velveeta girl myself, well and I love Kraft, but either way I like it straight outta the box.

I can’t have any until I get over this stupid flu, so maybe you guys can have some and I’ll live vicariously.

    I know. I wish I did but... I just don't. I think it's because I grew up eating it ALL THE TIME and that I'm allergic to it. So perhaps my feelings against mac 'n cheese has more to do with the fact that I roll around on the floor in pain after eating it. Yeah, that's probably got more to do with it!

    I like almost every kind, but some randomness: when growing up: I HATED it when my parents added bits of hotdog to it and I LOVED it when that was our quick substitute for our sidedish to steaks when my parents didn't have the time to run to the store for baked potatoes. mmmmmm

  • I don't know anyone who doesn't like mac & cheese. And since I pretty much suck in the kitchen, it's the boxed kind all the way, baby! Heh. Feel better soon!
  • There's this sandwich place me and my friends sometimes go for lunch that makes THE BEST Macaroni Cheese to takeaway. We always ask for extra cheese on it too and end up with about a block of cheese on it. It is INCREDIBLE. Man, now I'M craving it!
  • i hate to be the first one to say it, but i don't like mac & cheese. Well, at least not the box kind. Mine must be homemade. I am a snob about it. And honestly, I thought I didn't like any kind of mac & cheese until I had some good homemade stuff because I thought it ALL tasted like Kraft. Bleh.
  • Blue box! and lord oh lord, i'm sick right now too and I would kill from some cheesy mac. :(
  • I'd like to note that I am now craving mac & cheese in the WORST way.

    Not the "healthy" kind, either. No. I want the crap with that horribly bright yellow/orange powder that came from the blue box. Has to be Kraft. Has to be.

    Oh, and occasionally I like to put tuna (nicely rinsed and drained) in it. If the mood strikes, I'll add green peas too.

    That was my collegiate tuna casserole recipe, by the way. You can thank me for sharing with gifts of beer.

    I never had mac'n cheese in a box until I I was 20!!! My dad would only eat velveeta "homemade" mac. My husband thought it was AMAZING the first time he had it not from a box!!
  • I LOVE mac n cheese! haven't had any in the longest time...but I LOVE easy mac! the regular one and also the white cheddar or whatever one. MMMM. haha and the mac n cheese at Vynl in NYC is to die for...haha

    Damn, now I've got a serious craving...:P
  • jitta and i take it straight out da box, but we're snobby and only eat mac n' cheese in cartoon shapes. our favorite is spiderman, though we're pretty happy with scooby doo also. :-P

    problem was there was more belly than shirt but I felt bad and did not post it.

  • I'm obsessed with mac & cheese. It's so incredibly delicious!! And I love it straight out of the box, with extra stuff thrown in (usually more cheese!), or baked, or from scratch! I'll take it any way I can get it ;)

  • Mmmmm mac&cheese is so good. Actually, I pretty much love anything that includes pasta smothered in cheese.
  • Okay, I am totally not just saying this- macaroni and cheese is my all-time favorite food. For serious. I like the Kraft kind, Annie's White Cheddar kind and my grandma's homemade kind. And now it's 9:26 am and all I want is some mac and cheese. YUM.
  • i love mac & cheese - as you say, kraft and velveeta. i like to make it as it says on the box but i don't measure, i just pour in the milk and butter as it seems right :)
