I truly hope that the Gen Y group does have the “reversal” attitude. As one being on the cusp of the boomers and the x’ers I too had the same hopes and dreams. And if you think about it, I’m sure every generation has been multi-faceted in their members - some hopeFUL and some hopeLESS.

I’ve heard so many Gen Yers have the self-centered “screw you, give me what I want” point of view, that I can’t imagine them making the statements of the second half of this video.

Its good to know that this ME ME ME ME ME stereotype might just be that… a stereotype. I’m pulling for you!

I really like the video and the whole reversal concept! That was clever. I try to stay on the positive side of things, but I do think we have our heads in the sand. I think there’s a growing number of us that are waking up, but I just hope that the majority of us start paying attention to what’s going on around us before it’s too late.

Hmm… I dunno, I’m probably agreeing with the first part of the video (call me a cynic). There’s lots of things in society that one individual can’t have control over (like war and famine). But I do hope that Gen Y comes out of their slumber, and it seems that this blog has a way better attitude and awareness than most other young people I see walking around half-asleep to the world’s problems.

That’s a very “cute” little video, but until my generation figures out that some of our peers are still at war and that winning a war is more important than who the hell wins America’s Next Top Model… we are part of an apathetic and misguided generation.
Just saying. People don’t know who General Patreus is, but they can sure name who’s gonna win American Idol! Talk about lost.

It’s just generalisations. Some subscribe to that mentality but there are a lot of people that don’t.
