 Elizabeth Toon Charities Benefit Concert, May 1

Elizabeth Toon Charities is gearing up for the 8th Annual Elizabeth Toon Charities Concert on May 1. Event highlights include: Mockingbird Sun will open for a surprise headliner, a “Mystery Box” hosted by Kendra Scott that’s full of great prizes and a live auction and raffle for a chance to win golf retreats and tickets to prime sporting events and concerts.

The Elizabeth Toon Charities Concert will take place May 1 from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at The Rustic. Tickets are available for $50 by clicking here.

 

Deep Ellum Urban Race and Block Party, May 3

Creative scavenger hunt and block party serve as a community fundraiser to renovate Mokah Coffee Bar inside cultural center Life in Deep Ellum. The Deep Ellum Urban Race embraces the best of Deep Ellum, its art, music, community and commerce.

After the race, guests will head back to the Life in Deep Ellum to enjoy libations, food, music and games at the free Block Party hosted in conjunction with the Deep Ellum Brewing Company. The block party kicks off at 12 p.m. and includes concessions from local food trucks, hand-crafted beer, live music, tournament-style lawn games, a silent auction, raffle prizes and more.

Belk Charity Day Sale, May 3

Stop by any Belk location this Saturday for a morning of discounted shopping, up to 70% off top designer brands! Customers can purchase a $5 Charity Day Sale ticket from a participating nonprofit or at the door of Belk from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., which is when the event takes place.

Nonprofits can still sign up this week at any Belk location including the new flagship at Galleria Dallas. The 501(c)(3) keeps 100% of the proceeds from each $5 ticket sold. Customers will also receive a $5 credit on Charity Sale purchases completely offsetting the cost of the ticket. Join event chair, Janet Fresquez for the 2014 Light the Runway Fashion Show benefiting Dress for Success Dallas. The theme for this year’s Father/Daughter Fashion Show is Garden Party Rocks! Professionally produced by Harriet Kelly Gibbe, this show features local celebrities and their daughters in the latest fashions.

10th Annual Taste of the NFL, May 18
