These are a few of my favorite things

I love me some Oprah! I just finished watching Oprah’s famous "Favorite Things" episode and well there are a few things that I feel like I must have. I do realize that the purpose of the show is to give us gift ideas but I guess I am selfish because I was thinking about myself the whole show. Thanks Oprah for trying to ruin my budget!

MELAMINE BOWLS, MEASURING CUPS AND SPOONS FROM WILLIAMS-SONOMA
I love matching sets and I love things that fit inside of other things. Now if only these Williams Sonoma bowls would turn me into a master chef.

THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL’S PLANET EARTH DVD SET
I have seen a few of these and I think this is the coolest idea. These DVDs have footage in 200 locations in 60 countries. This set is timeless and great for all ages.

CIAO BELLA BLOOD ORANGE SORBETTO
Ok seriously can I have some right now? I hate that is says select stores. How will I know where I can get some?

RACHEL PALLY SWING TURTLENECK AND SAILOR PANTS
These look so cute and comfy but are definitely not in the budget. I liked the shirt that Oprah had on better than the ones the models are wearing.

UNITED ARTISTS 90TH ANNIVERSARY PRESTIGE COLLECTION
The gift for the ultimate movie buff- 90 of the most popular films (including Academy Award® winners) all collected into one book. Best idea ever! EVER! Want!

SHAKLEE GET CLEAN™ STARTER KIT
The Get Clean™ Starter Kit by Shaklee is filled with eco-friendly, high performance concentrated cleaners, stain removers and cleaning supplies. Everyone should have this set in their home. Green your home with this cute little set.

O’S GUIDE TO LIFE
O’s Guide to Life is a compilation of more than 100 of Oprah’s favorite O, The Oprah Magazine articles that help you live your best life. Topics include health, beauty, sex, love, money, family and making a difference in the world. Not only would this be a great go to guide for me this book would be perfect inspiration for genpink posts.

JOSH GROBAN’S NOEL CD
I’m not normally one to buy holiday albums but I love Josh Groban.

And I also want that crazy refrigerator but that’s not even in the same neighborhood as my budget so I’m not adding it.

Did you see the show? What are your must haves?

In case you missed the show or just want to check out the rest of the list it’s all at Oprah.com.

Hope everyone has a happy Turkey Day!

  • I am interested in cash backs. I shop a lot so I want to get at least some of my money back. So I’ve found this very helpful site with credit card comparison

    gauranteed creedit card zero transfer
  • Thanks fo the links!!!
  • That sounds horrifically corporate, numbers over people.

    Cheers

It was an interesting show and some of the gifts were pretty snazzy. I liked the movie collection and the camcorder and some of the other stuff too. But the best gift for me was getting to hear Josh Groban sing and, if I could choose anything from the show I'd take the big hug that Josh gave Oprah (rather than the other way around.....not that a hug from Oprah would be a bad thing!)
  • I would take all of it, of course, but the fridge was by far my favorite.
  • Oooh I want that cleaning kit!
  • I swear to god I just literally drooled on my keyboard at the site of all those melamine bowls and cups from Williams Sonoma. I am such a GIRL. But wow. They are so nice.
  • man i can't believe i missed the show! i was going to dvr it dammit. well i love the movie collection. and the measuring set? heart.

    have a happy thanksgiving!
  • I missed the show, and I am grateful. I get so materialistic when I watch her favorite things episodes, it's disturbing. I want that United Artists 90th Anniversary Prestige Collection. I think I want that refrigerator (whatever it is), just because she wants it. I'm afraid to click. LOL.
