The Broadway success is a soul stirring story infused with a winning score of jazz, gospel ragtime and blues that everyone can feel and sing along to. The show is based on the 1982 novel turned motion picture written by Alice Walker and later directed by Steven Spielberg.

The epic story of a young woman’s journey of love and triumph is set in the deep South and resonates deep. From the lush and rich overtures, to a beautifully decorated set and outstanding costumes, this impressive theatrical production has audiences mesmerized at every act.

The powerful vocals combined with a Broadway parade of Who’s Who in Black Entertainment make this show one not to be missed. Be prepared to be entertained by the talents of LaChanze, Lou Meyer, Fantasia, Chaka Khan, Todrick Hall and Bebe Winans.

Be sure to catch The Color Purple, on its way to your city soon!
