We had the pleasure of chatting with Dallas designer Kathy Fielder to get the scoop on her store expansion (hello, NOLA) and to learn more about her brand. From home to fashion and lifestyle products, shoppers in Dallas and New Orleans will see a variety of gorgeous pieces – many of which are manufactured in Kathy’s studio and warehouse based out of Dallas!
In 2017, Fashion Group International nominated Kathy as a Rising Star in the category of Interior Design. She also was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year last year by the nationally recognized Women That Soar. Kathy’s lifestyle boutique, KF Design | Life | Style by Kathy Fielder is located at 2000 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, and she recently expanded her business to New Orleans.

Who (or what) is your fashion inspiration?
“I believe good fashion should be attainable no matter your budget. It is the inspiration behind my boutiques in Dallas and NOLA. A woman should be able to look good and afford doing it.”
What can we expect to find in your stores?
“At Kathy Fielder Boutique, you find well chosen pieces that look like a million bucks, but don’t break the bank. I choose pieces that are relatable to women from age 22-72. We are also known for our earring collection. There is a style for everyone.”
What is your connection to New Orleans?
“New Orleans is an inspiration to me. Everything about the city inspires and empowers me. I find it intoxicating. The food, the culture, all of it.”
What are you most proud of from your career so far?
“I am very proud of the acquisition of my New Orleans property. Located at 3649 Magazine Street, it is a beautiful building built in 1900 and is an inspiration for me every time I am there.”
Anything else we should know about you/your brand?
“My vision as an entrepreneur, along with my ability to predict market trends and improve upon them, has created yet another facet of my brand. Last year, I saw a niche that needed to be filled, launching affordable and stylish fashion boutiques in popular areas in both Dallas and New Orleans.
My belief that every woman should look fashionable at an affordable price was the mandate and is the anchor of both boutiques. Specializing in fashion and accessories, my first Dallas boutique has been an instant success from its inception. After seeing the need for this type of retail environment, I purchased my second home / boutique in New Orleans on the famed Magazine Street and launched my second shop in October 2019.
My next project is the renovation of my newly purchased home in Dallas, and it’s set to be the launch pad of a new media series dedicated to creating beautiful environments and interiors.”
