Get up, and get active! There are many ways to participate today in Women’s Health & Fitness Day. This is the largest annual health promotion event for women. The main focus surrounding the event is for women to be aware of the importance of health awareness and regular physical activity.
Dr. Ross Walker, author of 5 Stages of Health, offers the following tips to help women get healthy and active:
“From ages 18 to 30, your muscles and joints, along with your vascular system, are at their best – take this time to start and maintain a lifelong exercise routine. Take a few different classes, whether it’s Zumba or Yoga, to get an idea of what type of workout you would like to use to get in shape.”
